JEMI is a promising upcoming rapper … Most of you that do not know JEMI are missing good music.. ZagaEmpire wants to bring you closer to JEMI… Here is a special interview with JEMI… Get to know JEMI don’t sleep on good music.

ZagaEmpire – What is your full name, Nickname & Age?

JEMI – I’m Adewale Jeminipe, J. E. M. I, 19YRS.

ZagaEmpire – How did you come about your nickname?

JEMI – It’s actually still from my real name, I just had to freshen it up ..and cut the last 4 letters from it. Jemi, was simple and catchy so I started using it.

ZagaEmpire – Tell us about your family and educational background.

JEMI – Born into a family of 5 ,and i am the last born precisely. I have two elder who studied cinematography and the other Banking and finance. I’m still in school actually so everything is going on well.. I also believe in education, tho the system is just making us all institutionalized in the mind.

ZagaEmpire – What was growing up like?

JEMI – Growing up, I wasn’t always the coolest kid, I was a timid  ,fat kid who was also shy .I had a very strict mom who trained me right. Till date I still believe anyone who can live sucessfully with my momma with no complains can live anywhere ???..(bet that) had its up and down.

ZagaEmpire – How long have you been doing what you’re doing and how did you get started in the first place?

JEMI – For about 3 yrs now kindof, it started in 2014 immediately  after i finished secondary school. i had this Andriod phone i will record some crappy sounds on, then first i started loving the way i sounded. It was usually nonsense first ,then i started channeling it into serious writings ,do a phone freestyle then play it for my brothers and friends .Then at some point , people started taking it serious and i knew it could be something big so i just continued (evolved a lot since then).

ZagaEmpire – Why do you make rap music?

JEMI – I am an observer, i see this things and i’ve gotta write them. Fitting the bars from experience of everyday. I do it for the psychological effect and adding things to the culture.?

ZagaEmpire – What are your biggest challenges so far?

JEMI – Challenges so far for upcoming acts like me [studio session is a big deal, really costly then promotion of the songs and brand basically] But we’ve gotta get it out there anyway. Getting paid for shows too can take a while before it starts.
ZagaEmpire – What inspires your lyrics?
JEMI – That’s the funny thing about the creative process , thinking different is major key, plus other than listening to the greatest rappers, what inspired the lyrics at times can be the slightest thing one is saying or from a Tv show i am watching. When that one word hits me hard it don’t leave me till i write something about it.
ZagaEmpire – What was the inspiration behind your last single “CHORES“?
JEMI – Ohhh, CHORES  ?? too easy bro. My mum inspired that record and i knew someone else somewhere would be living my reality as at that point so the best thing was to put it in a tune. The reception was lit tho…got me some more fanbase.
ZagaEmpire – If you could choose to work with some of today’s established artists or producers, to move your game to the top, with whom would you like to collaborate?
JEMI – For producers i will really like to work with “Maleek Berry” he has got that type of juice i need. Then “Falzthebahd guy on a track, cause i am really into watzup music so we’ll most def make a hit song, with our different flairs on the track ?.
ZagaEmpire – What aspect of the music making process excites you most, and what aspect discourages you the most?
JEMI – When i am writing my lyrics and its really envisioning how i am thinking about it in my head… Then having a writers block can really get discouraging.
ZagaEmpire – In your experience thus far, what is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed? And one you didn’t follow, but now know for sure that you should have?
JEMI – I followed the fact that once has to stick to his style no matter what. irregardless i didn’t listen to not becoming a rapper. I feel i am going to be versatile and i cant be put in a box, trust me.
ZagaEmpire – Tell us few names of artiste, producers and bloggers you have worked with.

JEMI – I have worked with: Aceix paulo, Temper dilo , Morintom ,Folaranmi Ot. For producers: Thormy juicy , Sonarmixes and Morintom. For bloggers: No other than my official blogger ZagaEmpire.
